






Martin DeKarver

Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Served a 2 1/2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1962 - 1965 in France and Belgium.
Married Josiane Mombaerts, who I met during my stay in Belgium, in 1966. We have three children and ten grand children.
Graduated cum-laude with a degree in accounting from the University of Utah in 1967.
Started accounting career in public accounting with Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young) in 1967 in Santa Ana, California. Worked there, in the audit department, until 1972 then transferred to the Brussels Belgium office of the firm’s affiliate, Whinney Murray, Ernst & Ernst, and worked there until 1977. While there I spent time in the firm’s Paris office and about 3 months supervising audits in West Africa (Nigeria, Liberia, Cameroon, and Ivory Coast).
While in Belgium I was the chairman of the committee which brought the National Association of Accountants to Belgium and formed the Brussels chapter.
Returned to the U.S. in 1977 and worked another year with the firm as an audit manager before taking a position of vice president of finance with the Brougham Industries, a motor home manufacturer.
Served as the Chairman of the Allocations Panel of the United Way of Orange County N/S for the fund raising year of 1978.
In 1980 I purchased an accounting practice from an acquaintance and went on my own doing taxes and accounting for small businesses and individuals. I joined a partner, Larry Agle, in 1986 and we formed the current partnership of DeKarver and Agle. We have been in Lake Forest, California since 1980.
I have been asociated with McBeth Foundation since it’s inception in 1990 and as a director since 2008.
